"Untuk sementara ini kami belum melakukan tindakan apa-apa. Pastinya masyarakat sudah mengetahui bagaimana Nokia yang asli dan yang bukan. Tapi kalau sampai kami menemukan indikasi adanya penggunaan merek kami di pasaran, pasti kami akan segera bertindak," ujar Eksekutive Advisor Nokia Indonesia sekaligus Direktur Nokia Indonesia Hasan Aula, saat ditemui okezone, Selasa (10/3/2009).
Lebih lanjut Hasan Aula menjelaskan, ponsel-ponsel Nokia tidak resmi, dari mulai blackmarket hingga pendomplengan merek memang telah menjadi sorotan Nokia sejak lama. Untungnya, aksi ilegal tersebut tidak sampai membuat penurunan terhadap angka penjualan Nokia di Indonesia.
"Saat ini, Indonesia masih diperhitungkan oleh Nokia pusat. Bahkan Indonesia masih masuk dalam negara-negara dengan pasar penjualan Nokia yang terbesar," ujar Hasan.
Saat ini, permasalahan Nokia tidak hanya mencakup ponsel ilegal saja, tapi juga sudah masuk ke pendomplengan merek dagang Nokia. Biasanya, ponsel tersebut hanya memiliki merek dan desain yang sama. Namun fitur dan aplikasi di dalamnya tidak sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang digelontorkan Nokia resmi. Salah satunya adalah Nokia N98 palsu yang memiliki dual simcard dan tampilan antarmuka mirip dengan ponsel China yang saat ini bertebaran di pasar.
