World Handphone Sales Down 9.4 Percent
After a while the growth of the mobile phone for almost 6 years, now start the long saturation point. Sales of mobile phones (mobile phone) to reach the world record down 9.4 percent in the first quarter 2009 to be 269 million units, and appears to be down 4.2 percent until the end of the year, the Gartner research group disclosed on Wednesday.
This is different from the sale of smart phone (smartphone) users who surf the Internet or meonton video, up 12.7 percent in the first quarter to be 36.4 million units.
Smartphone covering 13.5 percent of mobile phone sales in the first quarter, higher than the same period the previous year which is 11 percent, so according to Gartner.
Finnish company Nokia's occupies the first rank with sales of 97 million units, but the market to be down 36.2 percent from 39.1 percent in first quarter 2008.
Company Samsung from South Korea, is ranked second, with 19.1 percent market share, up from 14.4 percent previously, because of the increased sales of 21.4 percent.
Motorola Company's United States sales down almost 45 percent in the first quarter, and its position in the previous order the company replaced a third South Korea's LG.
