BERITA PONSEL - PT Telkom projected 2009 consolidated revenues to grow only about 5 percent compared to around Rp64 trillion in 2008. Growth was driven increase from the projected number of subscribers reached 13 million.
Telkom finance director Sudiro Asno, after speaking at a seminar "SOE Outlook & Economic Growth in 2010", in Jakarta on Thursday, saying, until September 2009 the number of mobile subscribers has reached 84 million numbers, increased sharply compared to the end of 2008 approximately 65.3 million numbers .
"Last year (2008) occurred the addition of about 16 million customers. But this year we are projected to grow about 13 million," he said.
According to him, with the growth of customers throughout TelkomGroup services, management also predicts an increase in consolidated profits.
Even so, Sudiro net profits did not specify what is meant. "Net profit can not be calculated can hopefully be encouraged to grow customers and increase operational efficiency," he said.
He added, in terms of percentage of net profits will be driven by increased foreign exchange earnings projections.
"In the last year (2008) our foreign exchange loss of Rp1, 5 trillion. Hopefully there forex gains that can improve the position of net profit," said Sudiro.
In fiscal year 2008, Telkom recorded a net profit of Rp11, 32 trillion, down about 12 percent compared to year 2007 for Rp12, 86 trillion.
