BERITA PONSEL - Finnish mobile phone company Nokia on Thursday reported third-quarter net loss of 559 million euros (834 million U.S. dollars), which is a loss the first time in this decade due to decreased sales of "handset" telephone.
Negative news that Motorola's stock price down 6.02 percent to 9.68 euros on the Helsinki stock exchanges weakened 0.35 percent.
Chief Executive Olli Pekka Kallasvuo said the demand for mobile phone equipment has improved in many countries during the period from July to September, but the company's internal problems there are still some.
"Volume and our net sales, rather limited due to scarce commodities, so as not conducive to our portfolio," Kallasvuo said in a statement.
