The Palm Pre. It's not just a phone, it's a myth, an idea, may be inherited ... and really, really long time coming. This is almost impossible to believe, but the crew at Engadget have been talking about the Linux-based Palm phone since way back in 2004. Through the now far-next year, we are speculating, pontificating, and wishfully-thinking about a new device from the company come to expect from our innovation. But we wait. And wait. And wait. We waited so long, in fact, that we actually penned a long open letter to Palm, the defense for the company to get back in the game. Since the announcement of the Palm Ces this year, news about Pre has become seriously cyclone activity: rumors, half-truth, hate, love, fear-mongering, fanboyism, rampant gadget-lust ... and even a little late night celebrity pint size for a mobile phone.
